Covid-19 update. Not really an update, I haven’t written about this yet but I will. Beings this is such a new territory, I never thought I’d be writing about a pandemic but here I am, I feel like I should write updates every so often.

We continue to wear masks. We have a routine down that seems to work. We have masks for each day of the week, when the day is over- we put that in a little basket on the washer to be washed at the end of the week. We are under a mask mandate for the county but the state refuses to implement a state wide mandate. Tama County has not issued a mandate and their numbers keep climbing.

Most businesses are opening as normal. Some places like gas stations, Walmart and McDonalds used to be 24 hours but they now have business hours. Businesses are supposed to be sanitizing carts and machines after each use. Curbside pick up has become something I love and I hope doesn’t go away!

As the holidays are coming, I am nervous but we have decided to host Thanksgiving as normal. We all haven’t been together in a year- we need this. We will use disposables, have sanitizing stations and pray for warm weather to be outside.
